General

Calendar: School year lessons begin the first week of Charlotte Mecklenburg pubic schools. Breaks for private lessons and jam bands coincide with the following CMS breaks: Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Spring break and Memorial Day. We are also closed the week of 4th of July.

Weather or Instructor Cancellations: If CMS is closed due to inclement weather, we are (usually) closed as well. We are sometimes open when school is closed. Instructor cancellations will always be credited or made up.
Fees: Please see individual programs below.

Fees: Effective September 1, 2017 tuition is $35 per half hour lesson ($50 for 45 minutes, $65 for one hour). Siblings enrolled for private lessons are $30 per half hour ($45 for 45 minutes and $58 for one hour).
Billing: You will have an account with us using a credit or debit card kept on file. You may update this card at any time using the log-in at the top of each page on our site. Charges are run on or near the first of each month for the number of weeks that lessons are expected to occur in that particular month.
Makeups: We are unable to schedule makeup lessons for student misses. Occasionally, instructors may offer to rearrange their schedule (with advance notice) as a courtesy.
Withdrawals: To withdraw or pause your lessons, e-mail notification to John Gurske is required before the new month. We do not refund fees after the first of the month.

Fees: Tuition is $25 per 90 minute class and is charged on the first of each month to your credit or debit card. We give a 10% discount for jam band students enrolled in private lessons. We charge for the number of weeks that classes are scheduled to occur in that particular month.
Makeups: Since these are group classes, makeups are not available.
Summer: Jam Bands continue through the summer. New members are welcome.
